Sabre AirCentre Strategic Meeting In Stockholm

This year’s Sabre® AirCentre™ Flight and Sabre® AirCentre™ Crew Control international strategic meeting was hosted Nov. 11, 2009, at Villa Källhagen in Stockholm, Sweden. The strategic meeting is a forum for senior airline managers and IT professionals to discuss strategic visions and directions of the operations arena in general but, of course, with focus on the Sabre® AirCentre™ Enterprise Operations solutions.

Twenty-two customers from nine airlines attended the strategic meeting, which again emphasized the investments and capabilities of the Sabre AirCentre solution as well as focusing on its future direction. To facilitate engagements, the attending airlines were divided into groups and presented their views on requirements for sustaining profitability and operational excellence in today’s financially challenging climate. Some very creative and insightful ideas were presented and will be considered in future design of the solution. The attending airlines enjoyed the networking and exchange of ideas.

In conjunction with the strategic meeting, two workshops were conducted — one focusing on manpower planning requirements and the other on Sabre AirCentre Movement Control capabilities. Attendees who participated in the manpower planning requirements now feel that their input is a part of the design of the new manpower planning tool and are eagerly awaiting the first release during second half 2010.

Similarly, airlines attending the Movement Control workshop were pleasantly surprised with the enhancements in the module and the many capabilities it now offers. Positive comments were received from the participants, particularly from those seeing the module for the first time.

All in all, the three days in Stockholm were very interactive and productive, and we thank all participants for contributing in the strategic meeting and workshops!


Join Us In April For The 2010 Sabre AirVision Network Conference

Please join us April 12-15 in Dubai for the 2010 Sabre® AirVision™ Network conference, formerly known as the Sabre® AirFlight™ conference.

This will be a conference of firsts:

  • The first time the conference will use the new Sabre® AirVision™branding. However, the conference will continue to feature Sabre® AirVision Schedule Manager, Sabre® AirVision Slot Manager, Sabre® AirVision Fleet Manager and Sabre® AirVision Profit Manager (all formerly under the Sabre® AirFlite™ name) as well as IT/technical tracks as in the past.
  • The first time tracks will be included for Sabre® AirVision Network Analyzer, Sabre® AirVision Sales Analyzer and Sabre® AirVision Sales Essentials (formerly known as the Sabre® WiseVisionSuite) as well as Sabre® AirVision Profit Essentials and Sabre® AirVision Codeshare Manager.
  • The first time the conference will be held in the Middle East.

The conference will focus on:

  • Recent developments in various solution areas,
  • Collective interactive design sessions for business requirements for new enhancements,
  • Prioritization of new enhancement requests,
  • Executive committee meetings plus election of new committee members,
  • Opportunities for you to give joint feedback to our management,
  • A forum to network and exchange ideas with other airlines.
